In line with its mission, CKF has developed this campership program to help families send their children to camps that specifically serve children affected by chronic illnesses, the value of which Donald and Kathy Ann were deeply convinced.

1. The Campership Program is open to:

  • the children of individuals who have received financial assistance from the CKF in the past
  • applicants who are directly referred to the CKF by an appropriate camp that specifically serves children affected by chronic illnesses
  • applicants who are directly referred to the CKF by a social worker, case manager, or other appropriate professional source

2. Children up to age 21 are eligible to apply to the Campership Program.

3. Children who have a chronic illness are eligible to apply to the Campership Program.

Children who do not have a chronic illness but whose parent(s) or sibling(s) have a chronic illness are also eligible to apply to the Campership Program, as they are affected by the chronic illness.

4. Applicants must select an appropriate camp that specifically serves youth affected by chronic illnesses prior to applying for the Campership Program.

5. Each child is eligible to apply for up to $500 of campership benefits per year.

6. All applicants must fully complete the application form and provide every piece of required supporting documentation, as outlined on the application.

  • A separate application should be filled out for each child if a family is applying for campership funds for multiple children.
